No keyword research, no strategy. Ahrefs Keyword Explorer gives you search volume, KD scores, and SERP analysis that free tools can't match. The Starter plan at $29/month is enough for most solo content creators. I use it before writing every single article.

Tools I Don't Use Anymore
Jasper AI: Replaced by Claude. At $49+/month, Claude does everything Jasper does better at less than half the price.
Copy.ai: Same story. The gap between Claude and specialized AI writing tools has closed completely. The specialized tools haven't kept up.
Frase: Surfer SEO has a better UI and cleaner integration into my workflow. Frase is a fine alternative if Surfer's pricing is out of budget.
